Entry Level Refinery Consultant

Entry level refining consultants perform a wide range of services offered by our firm, including technical and economic evaluations of both projects and companies, strategic planning assistance, crude oil evaluations, market analysis, asset valuation and performance benchmarking and improvement studies. 

Qualified candidates must have a degree in chemical engineering or another related discipline and will have at least seven years of experience in the downstream oil industry.  Additionally, they will have gained technical and commercial experience in support of petroleum refining activities, typically in functions such as process engineering, feedstock/product supply and economics and planning.  Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and be self-motivated to perform at an exceptional level.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

NGL Consultant

The successful candidate will provide high quality consulting services to an international clientele in the NGL/LPG segment of the energy industry. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work in other related segments of the energy industry that the company is involved with.  The Consultant will progress into successive levels of leadership and ownership in the Company with demonstrated skills and capabilities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the NGL/gas processing, refining or petrochemical industry with an emphasis on technical, commercial and operational activities.  A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or other engineering discipline with process engineering or equivalent experience is required.  An advanced business degree and commercial experience are a plus.

Energy Consultant

The ideal candidate is a Professional Engineer with a Chemical Engineering degree, and an M.B.A. or demonstrated equivalent business experience. Professional experience includes 8 to 12 years in operations and technical/economic support of petroleum refineries and/or upgraders. Experience must include quantitative analysis for a range of technical and business problems, supported by excellent computer skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will work as a member of a consulting team that provides technical and business advice to clients, in the following areas: crude oil evaluation, refinery processing, heavy oil upgrading, pipelines and markets for crude oil and refined products. You will participate in the full range of activities required to complete consulting assignments. Growth in the firm will depend upon the candidate’s ability to seek and develop value added business opportunities for our clients.

Senior Manager, Downstream Energy Consulting

 The Senior Manager, Downstream Energy Consulting will provide advisory services to clients engaged in North American crude oil and oil sands activities, with particular focus on the Western Canadian industry.  This candidate will perform independent analysis of projects across the petroleum value chain. Synthesize and communicate analytical results to discerning clients based in North America, and increasingly in other locations around the world. Perform ongoing market analysis, covering geographical regions of interest to our clients. Prepare and present detailed reports to clients, in a variety of formats. Foster business development opportunities and maintain current technical knowledge.

Candidate must have a Chemical Engineering Degree and business expertise, often designated by an MBA degree. The ideal candidate will have between 8 and 12 years of professional experience in process engineering, operations support, planning and optimization of petroleum refineries and/or upgraders.
